Work Experience

Roland began his career in forensic and investigative accounting in 1973 with Johnson, Atwater & Company, the predecessor firm of Matson, Driscoll & Damico.  He started in the Atlanta, Georgia office and later moved to open offices in Toronto, Ontario and Charlotte, North Carolina.

While providing accounting services to both the insurance and legal industry, Roland has been qualified as an expert witness in U.S. and Canadian courts for both civil and criminal cases. These engagements involved financial motive issues related to arson investigations, loss of earnings and other commercial disputes. In addition, Roland has worked on large insurance assignments in a variety of industries related to various issues involving insurance and lost profits.
